Questions
Plain answers, plain language.
The questions we hear most: costs, timing, what you need to do, and what happens after launch.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No, and that's the whole point. You answer a few questions about your business and we handle everything else: the build, the domain, the hosting, the legal pages. After launch, if you'd rather never touch it, the Care Plan means you don't have to.
How long does it take?
Two to three weeks for most sites. We agree a launch date with you at the start and stick to it, as long as your content reaches us on time. Larger custom builds take a little longer, and we'll tell you exactly when we quote.
What if I've been putting this off for years?
You're exactly who we built this for. Most of our clients aren't 'website people': they're busy, or they've been quoted silly money before, or they just never saw the point. You don't need a plan or a brief. One sentence about your business is enough to start, and we take it from there.
Who owns the website?
You do, completely. The domain is in your name, the code is yours (handed over in your own GitHub or as a zip), and the design files are yours. If we vanished tomorrow, you would still have a working site and any developer in the world could pick it up.
Can I make changes after launch?
Yes. On the Care Plan, up to 2 small changes a month are included: new text, swap a photo, fix a phone number. For anything bigger, just ask and we will quote it up front.
When and how do I pay?
After your site is built and live. We deploy it, you see the real thing working on your own domain, and only then do we send an invoice. No deposit, no upfront fee. If the invoice isn't settled, the site comes down — simple as that — so there's no risk to you in getting started.
What does the Care Plan cost and include?
€15 a month. It covers up to 2 small changes a month (new text, a swapped photo, a corrected phone number), keeps your site updated and secure, and means you never have to touch anything technical yourself. Cancel any time — you keep the site either way.
What do you need from me to start?
To start, one sentence about your business is genuinely enough. To finish quickly, it helps to have your text, a few photos, and your logo ready — but if you don't, we'll work with what you've got and guide you through the rest. The more you give us up front, the faster we hit your launch date.
What will it cost me each year after launch?
Just your domain — usually around €15 a year — and nothing else. No platform fees, no plugin subscriptions, no surprise bills. If you want business email or the Care Plan, those are the only extras, and you choose them knowingly.
What if I already have a domain or website?
Already have a domain? Perfect — we build around it at no cost; you just point it to us with one email to your registrar. Already have a site? We migrate your content for free (up to 10 pages) and set up redirects from your old links automatically, so visitors and search engines still find you. Larger sites? We'll quote it up front.
Can I get email at my own domain?
Yes. If you'd like name@yourbusiness.com, we set up Google Workspace for you for a one-off €20 setup fee. Google then charges their own monthly fee per mailbox (currently around €7 per user, plus VAT), billed directly to you. If you don't need business email, you skip this entirely — it's never bundled in.
Do you use Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?
No. We build on modern code (Angular and Firebase): fast, secure, with no monthly platform fees and no plugin vulnerabilities. The difference shows up in loading speed, Google rankings, and the platform bill you never get.
Is it legally compliant?
Every site includes the legal pages EU businesses need: a privacy policy built around the GDPR, a compliant cookie consent banner (no tracking before consent), and an imprint/legal-notice page. Online shops also get terms and conditions, the consumer right-of-withdrawal notice, and the order-confirmation 'buy' button required under EU consumer law. We configure these for your country's specific requirements — for example, the Impressum and Datenschutzerklärung for Germany. These are a solid starting point, not individual legal advice, so we recommend a quick review by your own lawyer. If your lawyer wants the technical detail, just ask and we'll send it over.
What if I want to leave?
You take everything with you, no fees, no fuss. We transfer the domain if it's in our name, hand over the code, and give you admin access to your own hosting. You're never locked in.
What about SEO?
The technical groundwork is built in: fast pages, clean markup, structured data, sitemaps, mobile first. We don't promise rankings (nobody honest does) or sell vague monthly 'SEO packages'. If you later want active content marketing, that's a specialist's job and we'll point you to one.
